Scion - Augmented Reality Game

Take on the Machine with a new kind of augmented reality game. Hold the marker like a steering wheel to race around obstacles for your fastest time against Facebook friends or a global leaderboard. It’s a part of a full campaign for the car complete with 3-D cinema spot, lenticular movie posters, print, OOH, and broadcast coming out in September.

Olympus Pen Augmented Reality Demo

Nice use of augmented reality. Allows users to interact with the camera and take the camera apart. You can turn the camera around and push different display buttons as well. Nice touch adding your webcam image for the display image on the camera. Thanks MikeBSays!

Augmented Reality For Iron Man 2

Visit the UK Iron Man 2 website and suit up as Iron Man or War Machine. There’s also a nice feature to take a look at what the HUD (heads up display) would look like through Iron Man or War Machine’s perspectives. The only catch is you have to download a plugin to get the AR working. [via Mashable.]

QR Code Building

QR codes are sexy on their own. But the N Building illustrates a new way of creating interest by creating a giant QR code on the side of the building. When you hold your iPhone up, it uses the camera to populate live comments, browse shop information, make reservations and download coupons. Pretty interesting use of QR codes and augmented reality.
